WWG Launches Publications
Kathmandu August 29

WWG has launched two publications Conflict & Conservation Himalayan Biodiversity on the Brink and Cost of Conflict on Nepal 's Conservation Effort in a special program held at Hotel Radisson, Kathmandu . The publications were released jointly by Honorable Mr. Gopal Rai, Minister of State for Forest & Soil Conservation and Mr. Pauli Mustonen, Chargé d'Affairs, Embassy of Finland in presence of Dr. Mika Vehnämäki, Adviser (Development and Conflicts) Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. Distinguished personalities in the field of conservation in Nepal were present in the program.
 



Both the publications are about the impact of armed conflict on Nepal 's biodiversity conservation caused by the prolonged conflict between the Maoist and government over the past decade. Delivering remarks on the publications Honorable Mr. Gopal Rai Minister of State, Forest & Soil Conservation appreciated WWG, editors Mr. Mangal Man Shakya and Anil Chitrakar and all reporters and writers for bringing the publications. Mr. Rai further said that the publications would be useful for all and will be added in the treasure of knowledge. Likewise remarks on the publication were delivered by Mr. Pauli Mustonen, Chargé d'Affairs, Embassy of Finland, Dr. Mika Vehnämäki, Adviser (Development and Conflicts) Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and WWG Chairman and editor of the book Mr. Mangal Man Shakya.
